PACKING UP FOR EASTER

Easter is here, and we're packing up for a Scotland holiday! I always bring a project, but usually don't get to do any knitting anyway. But I'm optimistic this time, as we're going away for two weeks. So I'm bringing yarn for some small projects like baby jackets and norwegian mittens. My cardigan project can stay at home and have a rest in the meantime!

The idea for this cardigan came quite a while ago. I've spent some time to decide on yarn, and am now sketching on the design. After a few more test patches and some calculations I should be ready to cast on!

MY NEW CARDI, LEVENWICK

I fell for this cardigan that Gudrun Johnston has designed for Brooklyn Tweed! I also happened to have lots of brown tweed yarn from a stranded project, and thought this project would be a good way to use it. The buttons are made of pewter, and are normally used on traditional Norwegian cardigans. I think it turned out really nice, and look forward to wear it! (So far I'm sticking to my new year's resolution!)
